Metro Net Dispatchers are able to conference on foreign language interpreters for all emergency calls that require language interpretation. Telephone calls from foreign language speakers recieved on 9-1-1 or on the City's fire department 7-digit emergency telephone number will be conferenced with an interpreter. The dispatcher directs the interpreter to ask the caller key questions in order to gather the appropriate response.

Metro Net has 9-1-1 telephone enhancements that interacts with telephone telecommunication devices (TTY/TTD).
This technology allows the Metro Net dispatcher to exchange typed messages with the TTY/TDD user. The dispatcher is able to evaluate the emergency need and send appropriate fire department response.
